We have a new toy here at Tag UR It! inc., a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition! 

We have just began our GoPro journey and we already love it! The GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition is the most advanced camera in the GoPro series. There are so many features in this tiny little package and the results are just amazing! The camera features video resolutions up to 4K, 12MP photos up to 30 frames per second, built-in Wi-Fi with GoPro app to quickly and wirelessly bring content to your iPhone or iPad, a Wi-Fi remote, and is waterproof up to 131 feet deep!

To test out our new GoPro, the Tag Team took it to the beach this week! This camera is easy to use and can be used in so many ways. We are starting out with a few accessories and cannot wait to add more. Every GoPro owner needs a monopod (at least we think so)! We decided to go with the XShot 2.0 Camera Extender and GoPro Tripod Mounts. The XShot extender is one of the longest monopods on the market measuring at 37″. The XShot is made of telescoping tubes allowing the user to have it at any length from 9″-37″, and even with this extended length, this monopod is sturdy and feels of high quality! We are very happy with it!

Along with the monopole, we have tried out a few other fun GoPro accessories! The GoPro Jaws Flex Clamp Mount is another must have! It enables a GoPro camera to be attached to objects ranging in size from 0.25″ to 2″ in diameter. The camera can be mounted either directly to the clamp or the adjustable neck for a variety of shooting angles. Quick release bases make it easy to move the camera between this and other mounts. Catheryn put this to the test on a scooter ride yesterday, mounting the GoPro to the windshield on her Sym 300i scooter!

One last must have accessory we have put to the test this week is the GoPro Wrist Housing! The Wrist Housing secures the GoPro flat against your wrist, yet lets you quickly pivot the camera upright to shoot photos or video. This housing is waterproof to 197′, even deeper than the GoPro included housing. When not recording, you’ll have full use of both hands-making it perfect for activities like surfing, snorkeling, climbing and skiing. This is so important for our beach outings, not having to worry about the camera being lost in shore break!
